The NEW Avtex L185DR is a State of the Art Ultra Slim 12/24 volt TV/DVD combination featuring a new generation of LCD screen with LED backlight. The L185DR is a replacement for the popular W193DR and continues with the Avtex tradition of setting a new benchmark for others to follow. The use of a screen with LED backlight has several benefits for the Caravan, Motorhome & Boat markets. Firstly the screen and therefore the whole TV is even slimmer than a conventional LCD screen. The second is that they consume approx 40% less power making them ideal for those who like to wild camp / rally. The L185DR gives vibrant colour rendition and particularly good reproduction of Blacks and Whites with excellent contrast.

Avtex have highly specified the L185DR TV/DVD and it is HD Ready with two HDMI sockets for connecting external devices such as FreeSat/Sky HD or a HD Camcorder. It has a dual tuning system for European wide reception of the traditional Analogue Broadcasts and the latest Digital programming from FREEVIEW and thier Continental Equivalent. Set up of the L185DR is very easy with the now farmiliar Avtex Qick Tuning (AQT) one button tuning system. Simply select either TV mode (Analogue or Digital Freeview) as your "source" and then press and hold the AQT button for four seconds.

The L185DR 12/24 volt TVs, as indeed all the Avtex 2010 TVs do, have the capability to pause and record live and timed TV programmes from the built-in digital Freeview Tuner to an external USB memory Pen Drive or Ext Hard Drive (not included). Please note this and other models can NOT record from the Analogue Tuner or external devices such as Satellite Receivers. The built-in DVD player (right hand side loading) can play DVD movies, Audio CDs & CD-ROMs with image/music files. There is also a memory card reader and of course the USB socket allowing other methods of viewing/listening to your Digital Media. There is a C.I. slot for those who wish to watch subscription channels

Avtex have provided the L185DR with plenty of sockets for connecting external devices. There is a headphone socket, two HDMI sockets along with scart and phono sockets.
